Rachel Naar, MS, RD, CDN

Rachel Naar, MS, RD, CDN, will be speaking Wednesday, October 21st at 7:35 pm - topics she will be discussing include allergies and food intolerances!

I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who enjoys long romantic walks down the produce aisle (though more virtual on Whole Foods prime now these days), and am a fiber fiend and tree nut-allergic, smoked salmon fanatic. I have an undergraduate degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a major in Theater, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture and Education. I completed my dietetic internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. I have previously covered the psychiatric unit, post-op surgery, cardiac, and neurosurgery units at Mount Sinai West in New York City. Food is so confusing, and there’s a slew of misinformation/fad diets/body-shaming/etc. out there that can feel impossible to sift through. Whether you need help learning how to prepare food for the week, figuring out what triggers uncomfortable symptoms, or anything in between, I promise to be your NO BS scientifically-backed sassy spirited food co-pilot. I’m currently taking on new virtual clients, and work to help people unravel their relationship between food and mood. I want to challenge your black and white thinking, break free of demonizing foods, and focus on stress management with a body-positive, intuitive-eating approach that allows you to re-invent your relationship with food. I also assist with gastrointestinal distress, general wellness, and food allergies/intolerances (because I personally have 25,000). Food is social, cultural, emotional, spiritual, and creative. My approach is to debunk and demystify food, draw connections to overall well-being, and make life palatable. Feel free to click around, message me, and keep in touch. In love and lots of gluten (unless you’re allergic), Rachel 💛
