Rebecca Tolan

Rebecca is the co-founder and co-president of the Anti Diet Dietetic Students organization. She is currently a CUNY Queens College student and will begin her Dietetic Internship with Sodexo in the fall. Rebecca is very passionate about spreading the anti-diet message to vulnerable populations and hopes to dedicate her career to giving the gift of food freedom to her future clients. In her free time, Rebecca likes to hang out with friends and family, watch Netflix, and rollerblade.

Danielle Falchiere

Danielle is the co-founder and co-president of the Anti Diet Dietetic Students organization. She is a graduate student in clinical nutrition at New York University and will begin the NYU dietetic internship in the Fall of 2021. Danielle created this organization to learn more in-depth about eating disorders, intuitive eating, and anti-diet culture, with hopes to help her future patients heal their relationships with food. Danielle volunteers for the National Eating Disorders Association and in 2022 will participate in a research study as a counselor for binge eating disorder treatment. She is passionate about enhancing the dietetics curriculum so that future dietitians can learn about the importance of eating disorder awareness, screening, and prevention. During her free time, Danielle likes to bake, hang out with friends, and try new boutique fitness classes.

Julia Klosk

Julia Klosk is the Meeting Facilitator of the Anti-Diet Dietetic Students organization. She is currently in her second year of the integrated MS-RDN program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Julia is interested in the intersection of psychology and nutrition and is passionate about helping others heal their relationship with food and in turn, enhance their overall well-being. In her spare time, Julia loves listening to podcasts while taking long walks, reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.

Sofia Nersessova

Sofia is the Meeting Director for the Anti Diet Dietetic Students, and she is an MS-RDN student at Teachers College, Columbia University. After earning her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from VCU, Sofia took a hiatus from schooling and spent two years working as a professional baker. Due to the pandemic and its effect on the food industry, she decided to continue her education and meet her initial goal of becoming an RD. In the future, Sofia hopes to use her nutrition education skills in the fields of maternal or pediatric health. Outside of the nutrition world, Sofia enjoys hiking and road tripping with her husband and her golden retriever, obsessively updating her Goodreads, and visiting her hometown of Richmond, VA.

Tori Barkosky

Tori is the PR/Social Media Director for the Anti-Diet Dietetic Students organization. She is currently a third-year student at St. Catherine University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Nutrition Science. Tori is passionate about all things related to intuitive eating, HAES, mental health, and body respect, and wants to align these concepts as a therapist or psychologist in the future. She is specifically interested in working with clients with eating disorders, helping them to heal their relationship with food and their body and find liberation from diet culture. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, being in nature, and drinking endless amounts of coffee.

Janellè Polanco

Janellè is the Digital Marketing Manager for the Anti Diet Dietetic Students Organization. She graduated from Queens College with a Bachelors degree in Nutrition & Dietetics in May 2022, and is now currently a Stony Brook Dietetic Intern & pursuing her Masters Degree in Advance Nutrition Therapy & Critical Care. Janellè aspires to be inclusive in guiding others toward a healthful & enjoyable lifestyle. As a result of her personal journey, she hopes to spread awareness on intuitive eating, HAES, and body image as a future dietitian. In her free time, Janellè likes to create and try new recipes, attend a yoga class, and walk her goldendoodle.

Sophie Stambaugh

Sophie is the Meeting Operations Manager for the Anti Diet Dietetic Students organization. She graduated from Messiah University in December 2022 with a degree in nutrition. She is currently completing her dietetic internship with Keith and Associates Inc. Sophie is driven by her passion to educate others about the harmful nature of diet culture. She hopes to pursue a career in eating disorder treatment while spreading awareness about eating disorders, intuitive eating, and HAES. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys walks with her dog, hiking, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Sydney Burton

Sydney is Social Media Director of the Anti-Diet Dietetic Students organization. Sydney is currently working toward her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Sensory Sciences at Kansas State University, where she also competes in cross country and track. After struggling with disordered eating and poor body image as a collegiate athlete, Sydney developed a passion for connecting with others through food and wants to help redefine what it means to be healthy and nourished. When not studying or running, she enjoys listening to podcasts, frequenting local coffee shops, and antique and thrift shopping!
